I had a blast covering East Regional action in the NCAA Tournament for the Durham Herald-Sun. It was really cool to be in a big game atmosphere and getting the chance to run my own show after all the recent practice assisting. I shot with a 70-200 in hand and a high rail remote camera on the opposite baseline.

I think it is really important to never forget your way of looking at things even when on assignments where it’s not a style that fits, even if it is a just a frame here or there. So here’s a couple photos that caught my eye while working on other stuff.

Nat let me shoot with equipment at the Hawks game so I got to shoot downcourt a little bit. However, since he’s on strobes his glass isn’t the fastest, so I was shooting at f/5.6 at 1600 on a Mark IIn. The shot is a little grainy, but I was trying to make some lemonade.
